| Abstract |
This workshop focuses on the dynamic relationship between rhythm, bodily movement, and percussion through an experiential approach. It is well known that rhythm is a fundamental element of human expression and communication. Rhythm plays a crucial role in the educational process, as it is directly linked to free expression, creativity, and collaboration. For educators, understanding and utilizing rhythm can serve as a powerful tool that enhances the learning experience and encourages student participation. Through rhythmic activities, educators can cultivate concentration, self-expression, and social interaction, creating an environment where learning becomes more experiential and meaningful. Additionally, engaging with rhythm supports the development of emotional intelligence, allowing students to express themselves freely, manage their emotions, and build trusting relationships within the group. Through practical exercises, participants will experiment with rhythmic patterns, improvisations, and movement activities that combine music with bodily expression. They will explore how rhythm influences the way we perceive our bodies, movement in space, and connection with others. The exercises include body percussion, coordinated movement, the use of percussion instruments, and collective improvisations, aiming to develop rhythmic awareness and creative interaction. No prior experience is required, as the emphasis is placed on experiential learning and participatory exploration of rhythm’s possibilities. Through this process, participants will discover the role of rhythm as a tool for enhancing focus, body awareness, emotional expression, and group connection. |
