| Abstract |
The workshop will present the basic tools that the teacher has today to utilize Education focuses on sound in the classroom and his school. This "Sound Education" stems from contemporary Sound Studies all over the world. In our country, the first steps were taken at the beginning of the century both in Public Education and in academic research and teaching. At the same time, sound studies enriched and infused with new ideas in the textbooks and the material available to the teacher. The approach to the music lesson is holistic in terms of the phenomenon of sound, resulting in an increase in the effectiveness of the lesson and the degree of achievement of educational goals. The teacher can organize sound and acoustic activities with a positive impact on school life. By strengthening auditory and listening skills, students will benefit in many ways, in their quality of life, in everyday life inside and outside school, and in learning. Contemporary developments that include the possibilities of creating national and international thematic educational networks, the possibilities of national and international inter-school work, as well as the international networking of teachers and researchers at all educational levels, have led in recent years to the creation of an International Network for Sound in Education (INSE), which contributes to the support of teachers who want to introduce sound into their lessons. In the one hour that we have at our disposal in the workshop, participants will see and hear how they can utilize this know-how using the internet. They will participate in on-site experiential activities for sound in education, concerning kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and high school. Finally, they will understand how to utilize this potential according to their own needs, in their classroom and school. |
