Περίληψη

Each voice has a message to the world and its vibration is unique!

When human voices unite through the global language of music, everything becomes possible and simple.

The workshop invites everybody to participate, from every walk of life, physical condition, professional & educational background, own relationship to music and movement/dance.

Starting point of the experience would be the four elements plus the ether as emerging vital forces and platforms of inspiration, safety and sustenance in almost every tradition, ancient civilisation, indigenous community, contemporary community.

The air, the earth, the water, the fire, the ether emerging with symbols and meanings guide us through the practice of the singing and the dance.

Songs of easy verses/lyrics and uniting, harmonious, lyrical, uplifting melodies from secular and sacred traditions of Europe, Asia, Africa, America are accompanied by circle dances which carry and accentuate the content, symbols and energy of the singing.

The workshop supports the participants to re-connect with own voice, body, authentic expression, inner power and those of others, as well as the feeling of joy and comfort when connecting with co-humans regardless the circumstances. It provides the spark for the participants to become genuine ‘musicians’ in their everyday life by producing ‘verses’/words/speech, movements/actions and melodies of meaning, balance and wisdom, transmitting peace.

The experience invites everybody to revisit own connection with the 5 elements and make the connotations needed in the personal, professional, social, spiritual life as well as each one’s unique learning path.

The circle, with its unifying attributes in its DNA, holds people together, who re-member their origins and Life’s basic elements under the auspices of the vibrations of the melodies and lyrics of each song. The movement/dance in the circle mobilises every cell of the human existence within the atmosphere each song radiates/creates.

The workshop constitutes an act of inclusion, a manifestation of the unifying powers of the five elements in Life itself, a humble note that we people may have common sources and resources. It aspires to deliver its unifying character to as many people as possible, who are to be the multipliers of this

experience/tool/platform, and the safe space towards unity, inspiration, creativity, global community.

Especially for children the practice

enriches music vocabulary and palette,

refines rhythmic and movement skills,

enhances concentration,

invites them to em-body what they sing and listen to,

acquaints them to traditions, sounds, melodies, classic music pieces, symbols, meanings, usually not present in their everyday routine,

welcomes flexibility, openness and the exploration beyond the right-wrong attitude towards life.

equipment & structure

Via my computer camera, I am going to introduce/teach each song and the steps, movements in the circle. During the process the music melodies of each song are to embrace the session. I might stream one or two short videos, just to ignite inspiration and promote the connective qualities of unity singing & movement in the circle.

We would conclude with short reflection questions and a final contemplative moment for everybody to settle, come to the present moment, receive the gifts from the field and dream of the future after these new 'inscriptions' in own Self.

All that is needed is a good screen in the space of the Congress and (some) space for the participants to move in the circle, keeping a visible centre piece, if possible (i.e. a vase with flowers, a book, a small object of importance, a symbol of the Congress etc.), as the point of ‘holding’ our circle.
